DESCRIPTION:This walk of around two hours through the Roter Hang is led b
 y Nierstein's culture and wine ambassadors and offers wonderful views of
  the Rhine. Along the way\, learn about the Roter Hang's unusual geology
 \, landscape\, plants\, viticulture and seasonal vineyard work. You can 
 even hold 290-million-year-old rock and shark teeth from the time when R
 heinhessen lay beneath the sea.\n\nTo finish\, taste three wines from th
 e Roter Hang\, introduced by one of its winegrowers\, and discover the c
 haracter of this unique vineyard landscape in your glass.\n\nThe ridge w
 alk is a joint project by the Kultur- und Weinbotschafter Rheinhessen (K
 WB) and the association Wein vom Roten Hang e.V.\n\nMeet at 3pm on the 
 market square in Nierstein. No advance booking is required.\nThe price i
 s €15 per person.
