Dance into May

It is that time again on Wednesday, 30 May 2025! As is tradition, the Nierstein tourist association begins its events year with Dance into May on Nierstein’s market square.

The association’s new chair, Cristina Lourenco do Souto, opens the event at 7.30pm, followed by performances by TV Schwabsburg’s Funky Steps and Fairy Steps dance groups.

Returning to help make the event a success is Nierstein cover band TSCHAU Johnny! From 8.30pm, the five musicians and their team will rock Nierstein’s market square until May arrives.

There will be plenty to eat and drink alongside the music. The Kopp Sternenfelser Hof and Friedrichshof winery stands and Spinnler Streetfood will serve Nierstein wines, alcohol-free drinks and delicious food.

The five dedicated musicians in Rheinhessen’s best-known band clearly put the joy of music first. With their relaxed, authentic style, TSCHAU Johnny! shares its energy with audiences of all ages, creating an exhilarating live experience. “Our music should be fun – for our audience and for us.” Their varied repertoire spans rock, pop and blues from the 70s, 80s and 90s, plus modern songs, all given the band’s own interpretation.
