The Roter Hang in Nierstein:
One of the world’s most important wine-growing terroirs

One of the world’s most important wine-growing terroirs lies right at your feet – the “Roter Hang” in Nierstein! Do you love exceptional wines, uniquely beautiful views and fresh air? Then the Roter Hang is just the place for you.

Formed 280 million years ago, immortalised in Goethe’s Urfaust and treasured for centuries – we are delighted by your interest in the Roter Hang. The view across the red soil of Nierstein’s vineyards, their green foliage and the blue-silver shimmer of the Rhine towards the Hessian Ried, Frankfurt and the Taunus is good for the soul. Once you have enjoyed this view alongside the exceptional flavours of Roter Hang wines, it is an experience you will never forget.

We are approaching the finale 💫🍇
Almost all the grapes are in the cellars and nearly every vineyard has been harvested. We are very pleased with the 2026 vintage and look forward to seeing these wines develop! 🍷🍾
Only a few selected grapes remain, which we will carefully bring home in the coming days. 🏠

We are ready. The 2026 harvest is just around the corner. 💪🍇
The hot, dry summer was demanding for us and our vines, particularly the younger plants.
We expect excellent quality and intense, concentrated musts, with slightly lower yields overall.
Let us begin! 😎🎉
